Graffiti, a calculated chaos....

Theres just something about graffiti... like how could you not dig it. The craziness, the individuality, the whole vibe is dope. You can look at a giant wall of graffiti from various different artists with different styles, that put their different emotions int their work and can tell they are all different but yet at the same time you can sort of see how they all fit and go together. Thats what graffiti is about to me. I took Art at A-level, and my teacher at the time tried to tell me that my final piece couldn't be a huge display of different types of graffiti, her exact words were "graffiti isn't art". Lets just say, i got kicked out of class for my response, just because graffiti isn't seen in the classical sense, like Picasso or Van Gogh doesn't mean it isn't art, its just classified as contemporary art. Its modern. You can't say it isn't art, when theres world famous artists out there........Banksy.....ill leave it at that.

Every graffiti artist has a style of their own, even if an artist tried to replicate another one it wouldn't be the same because the things that go into doing each piece is so unique, an artist could map out what they want to do but based off their temperament and emotion it could come out completely different. Mid spray, they could feel something and express their feelings in another type of way they didn't plan and just go with the flow. Its a surreal feeling, and its what makes graffiti so dope. The way that a person can express themselves in such a unique way, in a colourful way, in a passionate way. I can dig it.
