Imagine the worlds biggest street ball tournament under the eiffel tower....Here it is : PARIS QUAI

Paris, France. The city of love, or so they say. Love was definitely in the air for the annual Jordan Brand Quai 54 international street ball tournament. It wasn't romantic love but people travelled from all over the globe to compete and have fun and show their love for the game of basketball. I was there representing team Midnight Madness UK from London. First day we got there we got a load of jordan gear, I'm talking a few pairs of shoes, with options, tracksuits, t shirts, arm bands, head bands, t shirts, shorts, back packs, travel bags the whole lot. Had us walking around Paris feeling prestige, the quality was amazing, as u would expect. Every year we go, we go and show the world that we have top quality talent and can compete with some of the best in the world. Don't think that just because its a street ball tournament and played outside that there isn't top players, every year there are players from the NBA, ACB (spanish top league), Pro A ( France top league) and other leagues to say the least. This year Evan Fournier (Orlando Magic), who is from Paris suited up for his local team and led them to the championship game. This was my first time being able to play in this famous tournament, it was exciting to say the least. It was sick being able to meet up wth some of the top hoopers in the UK that i hardly get to see outside of summer and get to represent where were from. I always watched the youtube videos and heard stories of how much of a vibe this tournament was, from the music, the people, the fashion, the quality of basketball and the night life. It all lived up to my expectations. Obviously we went there to handle business and try and advance to the finals since every year we have made it to the semi finals and not quite got over the hump but felt this year could be the year. Unfortunately it didn't happen this year but we gained the respect of everybody there that the UK has hoopers.

Every year the tournament has guest stars come through to hang out with the fans and watch the tournament, this year were NBA stars Kemba Walker, Jabari Parker and Victor Oladipo. Sick thing about this was, normally NBA stars are in the area of the fans but never close enough to talk to, us players got to hang with them and talk to them, it was a cool experience. Me and Jabari Parker were chopping it up for a good 15 minutes about life and basketball which was cool.

So, back to the tournament, the tournament is over a few days, some teams have to qualify to make it into the actual tournament where other teams have a buy into the actual tournament and don't have to qualify. Once the tournament starts its knock out every game, no second chances, once you play and if you lose its all over. If you don't show up first game, thats also going to be your last and thats it, better get comfortable and enjoy the rest of the tournament and enjoy the vibe. Throughout each day, in-between games theres a bunch of performers, from dancing groups to local bars and celebrities coming to perform for the fans and players, its a sick experience. Some of the dance groups who are in the vlog had some of the sickest routines I've ever seen, then add in some afro beats under the hot sun with some food and beverages and its a movie. One of the highlights of the tournament for me was Tory Lanez performing, thats my guy, his energy is second to none and then the other surprise performer was Young Thug. Unfortunately when it was time for Thugga the weather went haywire so it was all a bit nuts but still a vibe nonetheless. Quad 54 is known for being a great tournament but the nightlife after the tournament is also the vibe! All the players and fans go out and celebrate a great weekend together and just have fun, i was in their bubbling with my teammates feeling like diddy!

Heres some more visuals from the tournament, enjoy......
